UMD Dining Services

While studying for my degree at the University of Maryland, I interned at the Office of Dining Services that supplies the on-campus dining halls with printed designs such as weekly table tent designs, flyers, posters, food truck decals, and special events menu boards.

Weekly Table Tent Designs

Each week, I was given a different topic focused on food sustainability, and the department provided me with facts and statistics they wanted to include. The table tents below show how I took advantage of my freedom to experiment with design methods and play with type hierarchy and illustrations.

Flyers and Posters

I created a logo and design scheme for the Dining Services Student Art Program, infographic flyers for produce availability depending on the season, and a template for the campus diners to use for their pop up special dishes.

Special Events Materials

Every few weeks, the dining halls would have a special event or holiday dinner that required a table tent, poster, and menu board. I focused on creating a design scheme that would work across multiple sizes and different formats.
